Faurecia adds 700 jobs in Košice

THE FIFTH biggest producer of car components in the world, Faurecia, plans to expand its production in Slovakia. The Hospodárske Noviny daily wrote in mid April that Faurecia had started recruiting an additional 700 workers for its plant in Košice and its labour force would grow from 330 to more than 1,000 workers. The company is increasing its employment force because it is launching new areas of production.

“We plan its beginning for this summer,” Nora Baťová, HR director of Faurecia Slovakia told the daily.

Faurecia, based in Nanterre, France, has five other production plants in Slovakia as well as the Košice facility: in Bratislava, Lozorno, Žilina, Trnava and Hlohovec.
