Robert Fico, head of non-parliamentary Smer party dismissed statements of the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS)’s vice-chair Rudolf Žiak that HZD, a breakaway faction of HZDS, was created by an order from the West and Smer to weaken Slovakia’s most popular political party.
