Robert Fico, head of the strongest non-parliamentary party, Smer, was questioned yesterday by a public prosecutor over statements he made regarding the prevalence of bribery in Slovakia, and his claims to have paid off doctors. Fico is the second Smer official to have been interviewed after Roman Václavík made a similar admission to having bribed state officials.
