ROBERT Fico, chairman of the opposition party Smer, is Slovakia's most trusted politician with 22.6 percent support in a Statistics Office poll.
President Ivan Gašparovič ranked second with 14.5 percent. Movement for a Democratic Slovakia chairman and three-time ex-PM Vladimír Mečiar had 14.1 percent, the Pravda daily wrote.
