Fico rejects government with Dzurinda, Mikloš

Robert Fico, head of the non-parliamentary Smer party, has said he will not be part of any future government that contains PM Mikuláš Dzurinda and Deputy PM Ivan Mikloš, because of what Fico claims is their corruption and failure to launch reforms.

Fico’s position was approved on the weekend by all 20 members of the party’s senior governing body, making Smer the second party after Pavol Rusko’s Ano to reject the current PM.
