ACCORDING to a poll carried out by the Slovak Statistics Office at the beginning of May, Smer leader Robert Fico remains the most trusted Slovak politician, with the support of 26 percent of Slovaks.
President Ivan Gašparovič ranked second with 15.1 percent and Movement for a Democratic Slovakia leader Vladimír Mečiar third with 10.5 percent, the TASR news agency reported.
Žilina mayor, Ján Slota, ranks next with 10.4 percent and Hungarian Coalition Party leader Béla Bugár fifth with 9.2 percent.
Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda ranked sixth with 6.9 percent.
