During parliamentary question time on March 29, Prime Minister Robert Fico said that the contribution of governments to current economic growth is negligible and that what was really crucial were the hundreds of thousands of people who were patient enough to withstand reforms.
Fico was responding to a question given by opposition MP Stanislav Janis, who wanted to know how the government sees a survey conducted by the Institute for Economic and Social Reforms that consulted twelve renowned economic analysts and experts.
According to survey results, current economic development is the result of the previous government and that the current government’s contribution to the situation is a mere two percent.
The PM told Janis that the survey was a pointless competition organised by the opposition. He said that the opposition attributes all progress to the previous government and blames negative conditions on the current one.
