Despite the high number, Fico suffered a 2.4 percent drop in public trust compared to a similar poll carried out one month ago.

The second most trusted politician is President Ivan Gašparovič with 13.2 percent support, followed by former PM and opposition Movement for a Democratic Slovakia chairman, Vladimír Mečiar (10.8 percent). Of the coalition politicians, Hungarian Coalition Party Chairman Béla Bugár is the most trusted with 9.4 percent, the SITA news agency reported.
