Slovak MiG-29 fighter jets will guard the skies around Bratislava during the February meeting between George W. Bush and Vladimir Putin.

According to the daily Pravda, Slovakia has five such fighter jets ready for action. The Slovak armed forces will not ask for help from NATO as the Czechs did during the NATO summit in Prague when Czech air space was guarded by American F-16 fighter jets.
