The Finance Ministry presented a tax proposal that by 2004 would abolish income tax brackets and levy a straight 20 per cent tax on all incomes, as well as abolish real estate and inheritance taxes.
Finance Minister Ivan Mikloš said the changes would plug loopholes and make the tax system less complicated, and thus more easily controllable.
