The Slovak capital is set to witness the first all-electric production vehicle in regular use with the launch of the battery-powered Citroën C-Zero city car, the TASR newswire learnt on Thursday, February 24.
The city car, which was presented to journalists on Thursday, will mainly be seen in the borough of Petržalka. It will be used by technicians working for the French multinational energy company Dalkia during their inspections of company facilities such as boiler houses. The use of the car constitutes another element in the company's policy of saving energy and cutting costs at the local level, TASR reported. Petržalka Mayor Vladimír Bajan praised Dalkia's contribution to cutting emissions. A variety of measures will combine to produce a reduction in emissions in Petržalka of 550 tonnes per year, he said.
