Construction on the park will begin in April 2005 and should be completed by October 2005.

Malý Krtíš Mayor Viliam Bayer said that representatives from 15 foreign companies (including Japanese, Finnish, German, Austrian, and US-Korean concerns) have sounded out the area.

"Some of them haven't made a decision, yet. We're also negotiating with another Italian company that has expressed interest in joining Technojim's industrial park," Bayer said.

Bayer says the industrial park, which will use the pre-existing utility infrastructure, was prepared for businesses interested in co-operating with the Italian-Slovak company, based in Bratislava.

Technojim handled all administrative issues from the purchase of the property to zoning requirements.
