INCESSANT rain in eastern Slovakia has resulted in creeks spilling over and flooding dozens of houses in several villages.
Rain has been steady since Monday in Prešov, Trebišov, and Košice districts, the Pravda daily wrote. Flood warnings have been announced in these areas, and the army is helping in some regions to save people's property from further damage.
In Kapušany near Prešov some 60 houses have been flooded. Houses and fields in the villages of Lada, Vyšná Šebastová, Podhradník, Lipníky, and Olejníkov have also been affected.
The rain is not expected to stop soon.
