Months after Korean carmaker Kia announced its arrival in the northern Slovakia city Žilina, Slovakia is set to see another big investment in its burgeoning car industry.
The American carmaker Ford plans to build a plant in eastern Slovakia, according to the newspaper SME. The investment would reportedly be on the same scale as PSA Peugeot Citroen or Kia.
Economy Minister Pavol Rusko confirmed that he'd been holding talks with Ford, but wouldn't confirm or deny that an investment was imminent.
Boss of Investment development agency SARIO Ondrej Žember said it was too early to discuss details of the investment with media.
