After the biggest military logistical exercise in 10 years, the Capable Logistician 2013, ended in the Lešť military complex, soldiers of NATO armies are gradually leaving Slovakia.
Out of 1,750 soldiers from 35 countries, about 600 stayed in Lešť after Wednesday, June 26, the spokesman of Slovak Armed Forces (OS) Milan Vanga told the TASR newswire. Soldiers from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, France, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine and the US were to leave Slovakia gradually, with the last to leave being representatives of the organising Multinational centre for Coordination of Logistics from the Prague and Czech army.
The goal of the exercise was to train the inter-operability of logistical systems of the NATO member states and partners, as well as to improve the standards according to which logistics are secured by multinational army units.
