Two months after the arrival of the two prisoners from Guantanamo, the only information that has been given to the public is that they have gotten a lawyer, the Sme daily reported.

The US authorities have provided this information. The US Embassy’s Charge d'Affaires, Keith Eddins, said that the US is satisfied that they were provided legal assistance. Slovak ministries have not confirmed the information. NGOs have expressed concerns that the human rights of the prisoners might have been violated.

Although the ministries claim that the two men are not dangerous, due to privacy regulations, all the information about the prisoners is concealed.

The Amnesty International shows great interest in what legal status the detainees have, if they have legal assistance aid and if they have access to medical and social treatment, Sme wrote.
