She will advise Vĕra Jourová, Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality while she will make use of her experiences and knowledge from the programme Initiative for Open Governance in Slovakia. Radičová explained that the initiative contained, for example, anti-corruption measures, the SITA news wrote.
“At question is their possible usage at the EU level,” said Radičová. “The aim is to increase enforceability of the law, improvement of the business environment, competitiveness of the EU and protection of consumers.”
Furthermore, Radičová explained that one aspect of the agenda also refers to sensitive questions of gender equality with a focus on balancing the rights of women in EU member countries.
Radičová was prime minister of Slovakia between 2010 and 2012. This February she became a member of the World Leadership Alliance-Club de Madrid.
