FOUR consortia submitted binding bids for 66-percent stakes in the Bratislava and Košice airports, Tomáš Šarluška, the spokesman with the Slovak Transport Ministry confirmed.
The consortia include TwoOne, Independent Slovak Airport Partners (ISAP), Abertis Infraestrucuras and Turkish TAV.
According to Šarluška a tender commission will evaluate the bids and then select the winner of the privatization tender by the end of this year. The commission will then recommend the winner to the government, the daily SME reported.
Five bidders expressed preliminary interest in the airport stakes. Austrian consortium Vinci/A-Way withdrew from the tender in the middle of November.
