Four Slovak companies will have the possibility to win recognition in the mecca of IT, Silicon Valley, as winners of a competition within the three-month project for new companies called Plug-and-Play, the Hospodárske Noviny daily reported.
“Silicon Valley is a place where the financial capital as well as the headquarters of many international companies and universities meet,” said Martin Jerkovič, one of the founders of Studentive company, as quoted by Hospodárske Noviny, adding that for his company it is a way to gain the know-how and response from their future clients which can help them to improve their production and adjust the products to the needs of customers.
Together with the other three winners, Monogram, Nicereplay and WorkInField, the firms will meet US investors and present their projects.
The idea was developed by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) to create a mechanism to support the development of Slovak companies focused on innovations and technologies that want to enter the international market.
