Government has only four EU-related laws to pass

Deputy Prime Minister for Legislation Ľubomír Fogaš said after yesterday’s regular cabinet meeting that only four laws relating to EU entry remained to be approved by the government, meaning Slovakia would likely meet a summer deadline to have all EU-related legislation approved in the run-up to expected 2004 EU entry. The laws include one on environmental protection, one banning discrimination, one on elementary and secondary schools, and one on electronic business.
