The government was to meet at a special session on November 30 to deal with a proposal from by Prime Minister Robert Fico to merge the vote on the 2008 state draft budget with a vote of confidence in the government.
SNS leader Ján Slota said he was satisfied with the cabinet’s move.
"I strongly believe that the vote will be unanimous (in favour)," he said.
Earlier that day, HZDS chairman Vladimirí Mečiar said that "there's no reason not to vote confidence in the government".
