What appears to be a Slovak version of the Anonymous computer hackers’ movement has published a video on YouTube in which it warns it will attack the website of the political party 99 Percent, the Sme daily reported.
“They stole the original idea of the Occupy movement and this deed cannot be left without punishment,” says a talking white mask with a black moustache in the video, published on the internet on January 23. “None of the political parties will bring us the required change. We are the legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Wait for us,” the mask added, as quoted by Sme.
Representatives of 99 Percent said that although one of the party’s main mottoes – that the majority are being controlled by 1 percent, i.e. the rich – did originate with the Occupy movement, it did not understand the threats.
“We did not steal the idea of the movement, we are just spreading it,” said Alena Dušatková, the electoral leader of 99 Percent.
