EMPLOYEES of the Tatras National Park state forests company (Štátne Lesy TANAPu) have already cleared half of the total 7,000 hectares of forest damaged by the windstorm that swept through the Tatras in November of last year.
According to the deputy director of Štátne Lesy TANAPu, Pavol Fabian, “based on the current pace of work it is possible to expect that by the end of this year wood left by the calamity will be eliminated from three quarters of the affected area”, the Pravda daily reported.
