THE INTERIOR Ministry wants to introduce more fines for misdemeanours such as verbal offences against police officers, illegal licence holding, and graffiti artists.
According to the ministry's draft revision to the law on misdemeanours, people who verbally offend public officials such as police officers may be fined by up to Sk10,000 (€257). The same fine will apply to graffiti artists, the SME daily wrote.
The revision would also enable people to work off their fines rather than actually paying the money.
