IN EXACTLY one year, electronic tolls should be fully implemented in Slovakia, the daily Pravda wrote.

The electronic tolls will only be levied against trucks and commercial vehicles. An owner of a small truck, for example, would pay around Sk400 (€10.3) to Sk480 (€12) one way from Žilina to Bratislava. A larger truck would have to pay Sk800 to 1,100 for the same distance.

The highway toll will represent a sum of from between Sk2 to Sk5.70 per kilometre. Smaller commercial vehicles will pay from Sk2 to Sk2.40 per kilometre. Larger lorries are scheduled to pay in between Sk4 to Sk5.70 per km, according to the plans for the implementation of the electronic toll.

The final decision on how much is paid exactly rests with the government.
