Hochshorner twins win again at Canoeing World Championships

Slovak twins Peter and Pavol Hochschorner successfully defended their world championship title at the 2009 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships in Seu d'Urgell in Spain on Sunday, September 13, winning the gold medal in the C2 Slalom race.

The Slovaks’ victory was made even sweeter by the success of their fellow nationals, Ladislav and Peter Skantár, who finished in second place. The third Slovak duo, Tomáš Kučera and Ján Bátik, finished sixth. Slovak Michal Martikán won the silver medal in the C1 Slalom Race, finishing 2.55 seconds behind Tony Estanguet from France, the TASR newswire wrote.
