FRENCH President Francois Hollande will become first president of the country to officially visit an independent Slovakia. The one-day trip will take place on October 29, the TASR newswire reported on October 17.
The visit will take place to mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. It is also expected that Hollande and his Slovak counterpart Ivan Gašparovič will sign an action plan on strategic partnership for 2013-18.
The presidents will also open an exhibition of French Gothic arts and the exposition commemorating the 20th anniversary of Slovak-French diplomatic relations which will take place at Bratislava Castle, TASR wrote.
