Hospital cuts criticised

Medical officials have criticised the cabinet’s plans to eliminate up to one-quarter of the country’s hospitals as part of a cost-saving plan, with Bratislava neurologist Juraj Štofko saying the move will only “create new regions where no hospital care will be offered.”
