Bratislava's city council has ruled that guests who stay in Bratislava hotels will be charged a daily residence tax of Sk15 per person from November 1, regardless of whether they are in the city for business or pleasure.
Before this measure was passed, business travellers were exempt from paying residence tax. Certain groups still are, including disabled people, those under 18 and senior citizens.
