Hundreds of unexploded WWII mines uncovered in Bratislava

More than a thousand mines from the Second World War have been found during excavation work near Betliarska Street in Petržalka, the largest borough in Bratislava.

“Experts confirmed that they are German S-35 anti-personnel mines,” said the police.
On March 5, the police announced about 400 mines. Two days later, the number increased to 1,093.
They will be destroyed in the near future, the police added.
