Juraj Hossu does not remember the exact developments leading to his attack on Henry Acorda, only the emotions of that moment. When he saw the Filipino, he thought he was a pimp due to the effect of narcotics on his perception of reality.

This is what Hossu, accused of killing Acorda back in May 2018 in downtown Bratislava, said at his trial which started on January 28, eight months after the incident, the Sme daily reported.
“I thought he was harming the girls he was with,” Hossu said, as quoted by Sme. “I cannot really put my mind together, I perceived it in that way and attacked Henry.”
Hossu estimates that he had drunk about 20 beers and 10 shots of vodka. Moreover, he was seeing a psychiatrist at the time because of stress at work and she prescribed him tranquilizers.
He took them in the morning and as he was attending a business party that day, he also took two other pills before the event, Sme wrote.
He had an unusual talisman
Hossu claims that does not remember whether the women were crying for help. He also said that he is not an aggressor, as the media has depicted him and as the public views him. His friends and relatives also do not perceive him in that way.
“I’ve never proclaimed white supremacy,” Hossu said, as quoted by Sme.

As soon as he realized that he had harmed Acorda, Hossu said that he called police. Whether this is true is not clear for now since it is still under investigation.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to cause any harm to him, let alone death,” Hossu concluded, as quoted by Sme.
After he was arrested, a knuckle duster was found in his bag. Hossu claims he has never used it and that it is only an unusual talisman.
