The artworks were produced by graffiti artists from across Slovakia who were sponsored by telecommunications firm Orange. Only a few days before the championship begins, the city is completing a major clean-up of public places, mainly around its railway stations, and the main bus station at Mlynské Nivy.

The municipality, in co-operation with an organisation called Pressburg Gardening, on Tuesday, April 26, planted 700 flowers in Kamenné Námestie and Šafárikovo Námestie, plus in Predstaničné Námestie (in front of the Main Railway Station) and near the Old Market Hall. As part of the preparations, Mayor Milan Ftáčnik will – along with young people from Bratislava, members of the City Police and presenters from the TV Markíza morning show Teleráno – clean the road leading from Trnavské Mýto to the main championship venue, the Orange Arena.
