IKEA to produce furniture in Kysuce

The Hospodárske noviny wrote on September 20 that Swedwood, a daughter company of the Ikea concern, will invest in the region of Kysuce in northern Slovakia. The company wants to build a new, Sk500-million saw mill on the premises of the town’s bankrupt one in Krásno nad Kysucou. The new mill will employee around 300 people.

Swedwood picked Kysuce as the site for its new plant due to the spruce forests that surround it and the tradition of wood processing in the region. SITA
