The relocation of water and cable ducts as part of the new tram track construction in Bratislava's Petržalka borough requires the complete closure of a section of Kutlíkova Street this week, from November 20 to 26.
The affected stretch runs from the intersection with Romanova and Starhradská Streets to the intersection with Jantárova Road and Pajštúnska Street, the news website Aktuality.sk wrote.
Temporary restrictions will also impact some public transportation lines, as reported by the city authorities on social media.
"The detour route leads through Romanova, Jiráskova, Pajštúnska, and Jantárová Road," said the Bratislava City Hall.
Changes in public transport
The restrictions will also affect the traffic of some daytime and nighttime bus connections. Lines 92, 95, 192, and nighttime line number 95 will stop on the detour route at Markova, Švabinského, and Tupolevova, without servicing the Kutlíkova and Bradáčova stops.
Line 98 will serve the Bradáčova, Romanova, Markova, and Švabinského stops, but will not stop at Tupolevova and one of the Kutlíkova stops. Line 99 on the detour route will stop at the Tupolevova, without servicing the Kutlíkova, Bradáčova, Romanova, Markova, and Švabinského stops.
"The line 83 route remains unchanged, but feeder services to the Petržalka Depot will run without passengers after serving the Kutlíkova stop," emphasises the city authorities.
The frequently used pedestrian crossing between the combined pavement along Chorvátskeho Rameno will be closed. Pedestrians and cyclists will be directed through the pedestrian crossing at the intersection between Kutlíkova and Romanova Streets.
