Slovakia's industrial output continued to rise in December, with the index of industrial production going up by 19.7 percent year-on-year, the Slovak Statistics Office announced on Tuesday, February 8.
The development was mainly due to a 19.4-percent increase in industrial production and a 24.4-percent hike in supplies of electricity, gas, steam and cold air, the TASR newswire wrote. Overall industrial output also experienced a boost due to soaring production of means of transport (up 38.1 percent y-o-y); machines (up 36.4 percent); and computers, electronics and optical equipment (up 27 percent).
