Inflation at record low

March inflation fell 0.1 percentage point from February and was only 3.6 per cent above March 2001, the lowest figures in the history of independent Slovakia. The government’s decision to avoid regulated price increases was behind the result; analysts have warned inflation will resume higher levels after elections, when the price deregulation continues.
