“The employer breached the Labour Code by not including the brief description of the work of the employed in his employment contract, and by not dividing the working hours in a way that would provide the employee with two consecutive days of uninterrupted rest once a week,” NIP Košice spokeswoman Slavena Vorobelová told the TASR newswire on October 15. She also said that the worker who died worked between July 8 and 16 and July 23 and 31 continuously every day.

The August 12 incident occurred in the Šibenik tunnel shortly after half past four in the morning. An uncontrolled blast of explosives resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man.
