THE RUSSIAN energy firm InterRAO has submitted a bid for the Slovak power producer Slovenské elektrárne (SE) in a consortium of firms that includes several western European companies.
If the Russians win the tender for a 66 percent SE stake, however, InterRAO will finance the transaction with only one of the firms of the consortium, the German OstElektra, the SME daily wrote.
The remaining partners of the consortium, which also includes the German E.ON, can acquire shares in SE only after the Russians take control of the stake.
