A police investigator has recommended that charges of accepting bribes be laid against Peter Bisák, a former Privatisation Minister in the 1994 to 1998 Vladimír Mečiar government, and Štefan Gavorník, head of the FNM state privatisation agency under Mečiar.
The two men are alleged to have pocketed millions of crowns in bribes in the sale of state firms. A state prosecutor now must decide whether to send the case to trial, or to return it to the police for further investigation.
