FIFTEEN Iraqi specialists will come to Slovakia in December to be trained in mine clearing. The Iraqis will be taught to use the Božena mine-clearing device, which is already helping Slovak soldiers in its mission in Iraq, the TASR news wire reported.
The training, at a planned cost to the Slovak Defence Ministry of Sk1.1 million (€27,638), will be carried out in keeping with the cabinet's March 2004 resolution.
Zenon Mikle, of the Slovak Defence Ministry, said the Iraqi trainees are civilians who will later join the Iraqi military.
