Firms operating in the information and communications technologies sector have agreed that they will transparently inform the public on state orders and over 40 companies have signed the so-called December Memorandum of the Slovak IT Association (ITAS), the SITA newswire reported.
ITAS President Juraj Sabaka told SITA that the memorandum is a clear message that this business sector is interested in transparent dealings with the state which will secure not only smooth handling of individual tenders but also will bring the declared services and advantages to citizens in the shortest possible period of time.
Each signatory company which receives an order from the public sector or wins a public tender should proactively communicate this fact to the public and media. It is expected to publish the price and the subject of the order, a description of the offered solution, and supply deadlines as well.
The companies can announce this information retroactively in case of orders under €150,000 or when supplying services and goods under an agreement for exclusive right of supply. SITA
