Hewlett-Packard head Peter Weber admitted having cooperated with the economic branch of the ŠtB as the then-deputy head of the Office for Computing Technology, but said he had never been an agent.

Checks on Weber’s background continue by the National Security Office. The issue is sensitive because the operator of the IT systems will come into contact with classified information possibly related to Slovakia’s coming Nato membership.
