Italian company Enel will complete the 3rd and 4th reactor blocks of the Mochovce nuclear power plant in Nitra region within the planned date, said Giancarlo Aquilanti from SE-EMO, as quoted by the TASR. The 3rd block should be launched into operation in 2012, the fourth one a year later.

“We'll have the nuclear fuel in October 2012,” said Aquilanti. The construction costs will amount to €2.775 billion.

The two blocks with their production capacity of 880 MW will be able to cover 22 percent of Slovakia's electricity consumption. SITA
