The former director of the special department at the Office for the Fight against Corruption, Ján Rejda, who is mentioned in the so-called Gorilla file, is ready to provide investigators with documents that were believed to have been shredded, the TASR newswire reported.
“He has it [the saved documents] on various media, he has the documents which were shredded and is ready to file them [with investigators],” said the leader of the non-parliamentary Law and Justice (PaS) party, Peter Puškár, as quoted by TASR, adding that now it is the turn of Interior Minister Daniel Lipšic to release Rejda from his oath of secrecy applying to the case.
Puškár said that Rejda, who is currently listed on the PaS slate for the March general election, had saved descriptions of other wiretaps, which were ordered to be “cleared” by then-interior minister Vladimír Palko. He added that the intelligence service had been bugging many flats, not only in Bratislava, and that people would be very surprised if the information received through wiretapping were made public.
