ACCORDING to preliminary data from the Slovak Labour Bureau, the jobless rate fell to a new six-year low in March 2006 at 12.92 percent.
The office based its rate on the total of all job seekers in the country who are registered with labour bureaux.
The labour office had 330,532 job seekers on its rolls at the end of March, down by 6,742 (2 percent) from February, the Hospodárske noviny wrote.
The disposable jobless rate, calculated from the number of job seekers immediately ready to take up jobs, was 11.48 percent.
