Apart from the vice-chair election, a change in the procedural rules is also on the agenda. The change should tackle the fact that former Supreme Court chairman Štefan Harabin, who was also automatically the chair of the Judicial Council, saw his term expire on June 22. As President Kiska has also recalled former Judicial Council vice-chair Mária Bujňáková, the council is now both without a chair and a vice-chair to preside over its sessions.

The Judges’ Council of the Regional Court in Banská Bystrica has proposed electing court chairman Milan Ďurica as the Judicial Council vice-chair.
