“Just like it is with a classic jukebox, the song gets added to the playlist and once its turn comes, it's played by the bus' sound system," Ivan Akimov of BigMedia, which manages advertisements in DPB's vehicles, told the TASR newswire on August 29.

The campaign was ordered by a company called Zoznam, s.r.o., for its website predpredaj.sk. In this way it plans to reach out to Bratislavans and utilise unusual marketing methods to promote its concerts. According to Akimov, passengers on the bus are listening to artists whose concerts are in the website's offer.

“The vehicle's exterior presents the bus as a mobile jukebox, with the interior informing passengers about the connection to wi-fi network and the screens are used in the capacity of classic jukebox's screens that we all know," he added. The project was tested in July, with the bus being used for regular operation as of Thursday, August 29. No specific routes have been decided yet, says Akimov.

“We want the bus to enjoy the widest possible coverage. However, it's quite likely we'll use it primarily on routes servicing university dorms and schools,” he claimed. The bus is slated to stay in operation for a year.
