The registered unemployment rate also fell in year-on-year terms by 0.83 of a percentage point, the Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family reported on Monday. The office’s analysts expect the falling trend to continue, with the unemployment rate likely to go down to the level of 13.3 percent.

"The average unemployment rate was 15.2 percent for the first seventh months of this year, compared to 15.8 percent for the same period of the previous year," said the analysts.

In July, the labour offices registered 357,531 unemployed people immediately available for work, down by 6,700 on the month. The total number of unemployed (including those on sick or maternity leave and requalification courses) stood at 392,089, down by 7,362 on the month and 30,259 on the year.
