Chairman of the board of oil-refiner Slovnaft Marián Jusko was elected as president of the National Union of Employers (RÚZ) on April 27 at the RÚZ congress in Bratislava.
RÚZ is the largest employers' organization in Slovakia. It currently represents 23 employers' unions plus nine individual companies that together employ 310,000 people. It has 1,300 member companies that operate in all sectors of the economy and produce more than 80 percent of Slovakia's GDP, while at the same time providing almost 90 percent of the country's exports.
