PAVOL Hrušovský, the chairman of the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH), has rejected an offer of post-election cooperation by PM Mikuláš Dzurinda.
Dzurinda called on right-wing parties, including his Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ) and the Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK), to join forces after June 17 elections to form the next government.
The KDH and SMK have agreed that another right-wing government would be the best option after the next general elections, but have said they want to hold their own talks on forming the next government independently, the SME daily wrote.
Dzurinda said on May 27 that he wanted to achieve "a certain coordinated action with the KDH and SMK", and hoped that they would accept his offer.
According to the PM, if he managed to agree with the KDH and SMK that "we will go together at any price, we have a chance".
